On Vision Boards & Life Themes
Do you ever feel stuck? Goals and resolutions are good, but the first step to lasting change is to picture what you want your life to look like. How do you do that? Where do you even begin?
I've mentioned before that a few years ago, I decided to pick a word to aspire to and that word was "grace". Each year since, around this time of year, I begin to pray about what my next word--in effect, what my "life theme"--will be. Last year, I decided to incorporate pictures, as well!
Now, don't get weirded out by the term "vision board". Often when you hear about having a "vision" for something, it's in regards to a business, an organization or even a church. But why can't we have one for our own lives? This isn't a mystical concept or a magical cure, but it's simply a tool I have found helpful to keep me in focus.
Watch this video for more information, as I explain the purpose and thought behind this. I'd love to make this a series, so keep an eye out as we begin to turn the pages back on 2016 and move into a new year. I'm praying about my next theme and I'll be sure to share it here!
